25 January 2018<\/strong><\/p>\n

Organised by Students\u2019 Union, the Athletic Society and the Student Affairs Office, the 3rd HSMC Athletic Meet was held on 25 Jan 2018 at Shatin Sports Ground. Some 100 participants competed in 21 events, and more than 30 students altogether finished 1,200 metres run in a new event – Fun Run.<\/p>\n

Invitation Relay Competition was the highlight of the day. The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), Lingnan University (LU) and the Open University of Hong Kong (OUHK), were invited to compete with HSMC in the Invitation Relay Competition, the highlight of the day. HKUST got the championship, LU was first runner-up and HSMC was second runner-up.<\/p>\n

Dr Tom Fong, Vice-President (Organisational Development); Dr Jacky Leung, member of Committee on Sports and Physical Education; and Dr Paul Fung, Master of Wellness College presented the prizes. Dr Fong encouraged students to develop better sportsmanship and pursue personal excellence through different extra-curricular activities.<\/p>\n

On behalf of the Event Committee, Dr Fong thanked all participants and volunteers for their enthusiastic support. The Event Committee believed that a sense of belonging could be cultivated among the HSMC community while team spirit could be enhanced.<\/p>\n
