A visit to the Government Information Bureau of the Macao SAR (GCS) was arranged for the students of a course, Public Relations Translation, on 9 November 2016. Mr Louie Wong, the Deputy Director of GCS, and Ms Elena Au, Head of Publicity and Promotion Division, illustrated the structure and function of Government Information Bureau. Ms Acki Cheok, Information Officer, and Ms Eva Lei, Editor, shared their valuable experiences in organising press conferences and interviews, and communicating with the media. With their expertise, they highlighted the important points and techniques of news translation and suggested the ways of writing press releases and publications, and the use of different social media. They also encouraged our students to keep an eye on society and current affairs.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
