The 5th edition of Asian Logistics and Maritime Conference was held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on 17 \u2013 18 November 2015. Dr Collin Wong, Head of Department of Supply Chain and Information Management, was invited to be the moderator for the Supply-chain Management Forum 2 \u2013 Mapping the Dynamic Electronics Supply Chain.<\/p>\n

Jointly organised by the\u00a0Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region\u00a0and the\u00a0Hong Kong Trade Development Council, Asian Logistics and Maritime Conference aims at providing a preferred platform for both users and logistics service providers to network and to gather market intelligence on regional business opportunities and strategies, as well as trends in supply chain management, distribution and logistics.\u00a0Around 2,000 industry elites from some 30 countries and regions attended the ALMC, which is the largest industry conference of its kind in Asia.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s conference explored the opportunities and challenges under\u00a0China\u2019s \u201cBelt and Road\u201d initiative, as well as the\u00a0development of e-commerce\u00a0and\u00a0big data\u00a0that are transforming the logistics and maritime industries. A series of thematic forums on the outlook for the air cargo and maritime industries, as well as electronics and food supply chains was staged during the conference.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
