Arts at HSMC brought on campus a thematically classical evening with \u201cBeethoven Brillante\u2014Commemoration of the 190th Anniversary of the Death of Beethoven\u201d. The concert attracted an audience of over 160 guests, students and staff. The distinguished musicians included pianists Dr Karl Lo, Ms Henrika Wong and Ms Joycelyn Cheung, violinist Ms Alice Tang and cellist Mr Edgar Hung, who played Beethoven\u2019s masterpieces and paid tribute to the great composer at the Auditorium on 11 April 2017.<\/p>\n

Before the performances, Dr Lo gave a brief yet intriguing introduction to Beethoven\u2019s music with demos illustrating the composer\u2019s style as compared to other great masters. Three Beethoven\u2019s all-time masterpieces\u2014\u201cThe Tempest\u201d, \u201cMoonlight\u201d and \u201cGassenhauer Trio\u201d were then played in this 60-minute concert. The audience was not only captivated by the delicate selection of Beethoven\u2019s music, but also the exceptional talent of the five musicians.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
