Dr Rami Chan is a Lecturer in the Department of Social Science at Hang Seng Management College.  Prior to joining HSMC in August 2013, Rami had taught politics and public policy courses at Lingnan University.  He received a BSSc in Administration and Public Management (First Class Honours) from the City University of Hong Kong, and an MA in Social Science from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology before he completed his PhD in the Department of Political Science at Lingnan University.
Among his areas of interest in crisis management, politics and public administration, he specialises in crisis-provoking politics of Post-1997 Hong Kong which is also the main theme of his PhD thesis.  His research examines how state and non-state actors interact during crises, as well as their crisis communication strategies, with particular focus in the discussion on crisis management theories and frameworks from a comparative approach.
