Dr Wu has extensive experience working in the banking and finance industry. After completing a PhD degree, he joined Ernst and Young as a quant in the financial services risk management advisory team. Then he moved to J.P. Morgan to commence his career in derivatives trading and was promoted to the head of foreign exchange structuring for the North Asia region. Later, he joined Standard Chartered as the head of commodities structuring, focusing on the development of structured product trading platform and business opportunities. After fulfilling years, he made the momentous decision to leave banking and built his career in one of the largest bullion trading and refining houses in China, at which he served as the head of trading and grew the onshore/offshore proprietary trading business.
