Module Description
This module is designed primarily as an independent study, where students apply and extend their knowledge in actuarial studies and insurance under supervision. Students are required to develop their expertise and creativity by studying an issue in actuarial studies and insurance. In this module, students are required to present their projects to their peers and professors in a professional manner and produce an original report on the issue studied.
Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this module, students should be able to:

  1. identify and conduct an in-depth investigation on a research topic in the area of actuarial studies and insurance;

  2. evaluate and synthesize relevant information in developing feasible solution(s);

  3. interpret findings, make recommendations, draw appropriate conclusions, and present their ideas to their peers and professors in a professional manner; and

  4. work independently and apply appropriate writing and presentation skills.
