Module Description
This module is designed to be a challenging advanced management course. As leading change in organisations is vital for every manager, the course provides a framework upon which students can understand and analyse organisational change and development, and aims at equipping them with sufficient knowledge and practical experience of effective change management. This course applies behavioural and experiential approaches for students to understand organisational change and development, whereby they are provided a comprehensive, innovative, and practical understanding of the field of study and an opportunity to develop their own interpersonal and changing skills.
Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this module, students should be able to:

  1. become aware of the importance of organisational change and development in the context of globalisation;

  2. understand the processes of organisational change and development by critically analysing cases in the real-life business world;

  3. grasp theories, concepts, and skills relevant to organisational change and development for internal and external consultancies; and

  4. engage in active and interactive experiential exercises to sharpen the concepts and tactics in organisational change and development.
