Module Description
The aim of this module is to equip students with an understanding and foundational knowledge of the analytical frameworks, methods and tools for developing, implementing, and evaluating effective strategies and tactics for managing key supply chain operations and logistics activities (including purchasing, warehousing, and transportation) in the global context.
Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this module, students should be able to:

  1. apply appropriate analytical frameworks, methods and tools to design supply chain networks and operations, and evaluate supply chain performance;

  2. identify and explain how key globalisation drivers influence the design and operations of supply chain networks;

  3. make informed decisions in key supply chain operations to achieve good performance; and

  4. identify and examine emerging challenges and issues in global supply chain management.
