Appreciation Ceremony for Scholarship Donors

26 April 2021

In appreciation of generous donations of benefactors and in recognition of outstanding achievements of students, a virtual Appreciation Ceremony for Scholarship Donors was co-organised on 26 April 2021 by the Student Affairs Office and the participants of the Outstanding Awardee Scheme.

Considering the pandemic and social distancing measures, the event was conducted through an online platform, gathering around 100 participants including donors, organisation representatives, HSUHK staff and students as well as families and friends of the awardees to share this joyful and memorable occasion. With the theme ‘Be Grateful’, the awardees expressed their gratitude to the donors by presenting a handmade plant terrarium as an appreciation gift. Every star in the plant terrarium represents an achievement in awardees’ lives, symbolising that the scholarship awardees are on their journey to success while they will reach a bigger and brighter ‘star’ in the future with the generous support from the donors.
