This module aims to provide students with the opportunity to investigate some common Information Systems and their role in business organisations. It also allows students to analyse the development processes for Information Systems in business organisations

Upon completion of this module, students should be able to:

1. analyse common types of Business Information Systems;


2. investigate information technology infrastructure in business organisations;


3. determine the importance of interaction amongst users, developers and managers involved in developing an Information System; and


4. investigate the security, privacy and ethical issues in information systems.
