BJC Talk Series 5: Crisis Management: The Importance of Communication in Enterprises


The School of Communication has invited Mr. Wilson Shao, Managing Director of Ngong Ping 360 Limited, to be the guest speaker for its fifth talk. Mr. Shao has rich experience in marketing, business development and crisis management. Since Ngong Ping 360 came into service, the company has encountered several crises. Mr. Shao emphasized that the management’s instant response and post-crisis review were crucial in rebuilding corporate reputation. He believed that it was important to react promptly and release accurate information to the public when facing crises. Conducting post-crisis review to identify aspects to be improved and drills on crisis management were also necessary. Mr. Shao has provided students with an in-depth understanding of the scope of work in corporate communication.
